New Spiritual Care Centre in Germany

After more than a year of painstaking research, Rigpa has finally found the perfect place for the new Spiritual Care Centre in Germany and has purchased the land. Located about 70 km southeast of Berlin, the former spa town of Bad Saarow field along the largest lake in the region, Scharmützelsee, and offers magnificent views.

Besides the natural beauty this place near a lake, a sense of peace and positive energy tonic and make the place ideal for a center of spiritual guidance. Moreover, Bad Saarow has an excellent network of public transport to Berlin as well as local medical infrastructure well developed.

The place has been visited by His Holiness Sakya Trizin (seated, 3 th from left) and

Urgyen Tobgyal Rinpoche (seated, center), who have both requested.

The land covers an area of about 8000 square meters, more than enough for the project. A large disused building already stands on the site. It will be demolished before that future work should not be able to start.

In January 2011, we will begin interviewing and selection process for architects for the new center.

The land was purchased by the Foundation Terton Sogyal recently established in Germany, is currently responsible for the project.
