Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche organized the first meeting of the Western Dharma teachers

While the Law is being established, or re-establishment in many countries of the modern world, important questions arise, as to what teachers are genuine or not, because the future Students often do not know what qualities they should look for in a teacher. This difficulty arises for both the Tibetan masters and Western instructors who are currently emerging in different Sangha.
Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche
took the initiative to bring its own instructors sangha, the sangha Chagdud Rinpoche and the Rigpa sangha, as a first step toward a collaborative inter-sangha on this issue.

Thirteen instructors met Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche from October 25 to 27 at Bodhgaya including Chagdud Khandro itself and Dominique Messent representing Rigpa. Tenzin Rinpoche Droubgyu was also present. Discussions focused on the specific challenges faced by instructors of the Dharma in our time. A document reflecting this exchange will soon be published and made widely available. It will serve as the basis for a training program for instructors of Dharma, whose heart could be common to all groups in the Dharma, according to the wishes of Rinpoche.

As for the next step, Rinpoche has proposed to organize in the near future a three-day training for instructors of various sangha.
